GOLDEN GATE POINT ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING JANUARY 15, 2011

Annual Membership Meeting
January 15, 2011
John Dent called to order at 9:30 AM

  1. Brent Parker reported on the streetscape. We are in year 3 of retiring the debt. The annual assessment to the owners will change yearly depending on the budget and level of services we ask the city to perform.
  2. The majority of the Christmas lights have been tripping the default switch on the street lights; Neil Gaines from the city is working with the manufacture to find the cause or secure replacements.
  3. Claudia Porter suggested we add the all committee member’s email addresses to the GGP website.  She is also requesting for additional volunteers to serve this year on the landscape committee to assist in problems with anything concerning the maintenance issues with the streetscape.
  4. The Golden Gate Point Beautification Award was given to the Town House, Town House East and Town House West Association for 2011. Jim Billings was given special recognition as the association’s landscape committee.
  5. A very special recognition was given to Pat Hooley as Treasurer of GGP outgoing Treasure. Her unit is on the market and she anticipates moving sometime in 2011. We are all going to miss her dedication and hard work over the past years. Pat has agreed to continue her duties until a replacement has been appointed.
  6. Elections for the 2 open positions on the BOD for GGP. There were no volunteers from the attendance at the meeting. John Dent and Denise Watermeier were elected.
  7. John Dent announced the proposed idea of a park at GGP is dead. There is no money in the current budget and the City informed us we do not meet the criteria for a city park.
  8. 2011 dues are now due. The GGP Association is requesting volunteers to act as a Building Captain for condo association. The following Associations now pay dues on behalf of their members; 660 GGP, Vista Bay, The Phoenix, 464 GGP, 400 GGP, 306 GGP and LaBellasara.

All members of these paid associations will be listed in the directory. The directory is not part of the website for security reasons.
